Hey, hey, hey goodbye

Paul Daniels went to Washington, D.C., to make sure that former President George Bush left the White House. Mission accomplished.

"He's gone," he said. "I've got the photo to prove it."

Daniels said he had decent seats at today's Inauguration, but not close enough to see the ceremony. He had to rely on the large screens. People were everywhere, and they went crazy when Democrats took center stage, he said. They remained respectfully silent for the Republicans, he added.

The Inauguration ceremony itself was anticlimatic, Daniels said. President Obama gave a nice, straight-forward speech and then the crowd began to disperse, he said.

It's amazing that people dislike President Bush so much they find it necessary to see for themselves that he has left office.

To say that President Bush was faced with many challenges is an understatement. He inherited the start of a recession. I believe Bush is a good man who acted with the people's best interests at heart. Most importantly, he kept this country safe from another terrorist attack and for this I am extremely grateful.

My prayers now are for Obama to have the proper wisdom to lead and protect us.

Perhaps a forshadowing of Mr.Gaffey's not too distant future. "Hey, hey, hey goodbye"
